Vendor Spotlight: Red Dresser

The Red Dresser is the name of my favorite piece of furniture. It's the first piece I refinished and it holds some of my favorite things, so it is a natural name for my first venture of this sort. My name is Marcelle Stay and I am a happy, creative, Master's Degree holding stay-at-home mom and I love to make things. I love to make things up (as in stories and silly songs), to make things work (I don't take no for an answer from inanimate objects), and to make do--to really make the most of what I already have. Many of my handmades started out as incarnations of other useful things--ask--maybe your next handbag sports a lining that once moonlighted as a bedsheet or your wallet might once have been a pair of trousers. Here are some pictures of a few of the things you'll see spilling out of my Red Dresser at the boutique. My favorites are the leg warmers for little people and the laundry sets (includes clothes to hang up, wooden iron, ironing board, and basket."
